It’s In the Bag
Take Tony’s for a joy ride! We love that our portions are so huge, you can take home a midnight snack or dinner for the next day. We also love that our roomy bags come in handy long after you’ve devoured the leftovers.
Some uses for our sturdy bags:
- Sports gear. Your car will stay clean and all those soccer cleats will stay corralled.
- Food tote. Our bags are excellent for those orange slices and juice boxes you bring to the games.
- Beach tote. Tony’s bags are big enough for several towels, sunblock and your summer reading.
- Grocery shopping. Use these at the checkout and make your fellow customers jealous.
- Fall carry-all. Our bags have enough room for some serious apple or pumpkin picking.
Where has your Tony’s bag traveled? To the store? On vacation? Out of the country? We’d love to receive a post card…
National Middle Child Day
August 12

Middle children, it’s time to rise up and celebrate your unique characteristics! Contrary to popular myth, middle children have many qualities that oldest, youngest, and only children envy. Consider the research:
- Middles have incredible leadership skills. Want more proof? Over 1/2 the U.S presidents are middle children.
- Middles are excellent innovators, team leaders, and trailblazers. Contrary to popular belief, middle children often outshine the oldest in terms of leading the way in uncharted territory. Bill Gates, Alexander Graham Bell and Susan B. Anthony are middle children.
- Middles are excellent negotiators and justice-seekers. Since they are not used to getting their own way, they often develop empathy and perceptiveness at an early age, becoming savvy, sophisticated negotiators. Taking their finely-tuned perception of fairness and injustice, they often turn their sights on much larger issues. Nelson Mandela and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. are middle children.
It’s about time you stood up and asked for your due respect and rewards. Suggest, using those excellent negotiation skills you possess, that your nuclear family take you out for a great celebratory meal at Tony’s. They won’t? That’s ok.; treat yourself. You don’t need them to have a good time, anyway.

National Oyster Day
August 5th

Celebrate Oyster Day at Tony’s! We feature Blue Points off the half shell as well as our featured oysters. These briny oysters are a natural fit with lemon and our sharp horseradish sauce or you may select our house-made cocktail sauce. Our featured oysters are hand selected on a daily basis; we proudly serve only the best available.
For the Enthusiast
Oysters are considered the most nutritious when eaten raw. They are packed with vitamins and minerals, including zinc, iron, calcium, selenium, vitamin A and vitamin B12. Oysters also contain dopamine, a neurotransmitter that helps control the brain’s reward and pleasure centers, leading to the belief that oysters are an aphrodisiac. Myth or not, we think you will fall in love with our oysters.
Did You Know?
For hundreds of years, oyster beds in the Chesapeake Bay were so enormous that during low tide they were visible above the surface. During the late 19th century, oyster harvesting became so cut-throat that oystermen were killed over prime harvesting areas and oyster pirates plundered at will. This led to the foundation of the State Oyster Police to keep the peace. We promise the oysters we use at Tony’s are pirate-free. Arrgh!
Spread happiness. Give the gift of steak.

Tony’s is by far the best steakhouse in Lexington. The quality of food, service and attention to details is second to none. I hosted two events there with 10 people or more and would highly recommend. When I visit Lexington and need a fine steak, well, Tony’s is my place.
